USB SuperSpeed 3.0 to Dual SATA RAID Controller with Encryption

The OXU3102 is the latest in external storage controllers. Bridging between USB 3.0 and up to 2 SATA disks, the OXU3102 delivers industry leading performance and an extensive feature set enabling OEMs to develop highly differentiated products. Integrating a USB 3.0 device, which is backward compatible with USB 2.0, and a dual port SATA II host controller OXU3102 enables designers to create products with a minimal number of external components and a low cost BOM.

The OXU3102 includes a flexible cipher engine providing on-the-fly encryption / decryption of the data to the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), enabling OEMs to deploy full disk encryption solutions and provide end users with the peace-of-mind that their private content is safe and secure in the event of theft or loss. The OXU3102 is complemented by robust authentication solutions including software password and a customizable host application.

The OXU3102 is provided with robust application firmware, thereby shortening development cycles, and PLX offers a comprehensive support package including evaluation boards, reference designs and software development kit.
